“The 2011 Chardonnay Kistler Vineyard is the only Chardonnay here that includes some Mt. Eden clone fruit, which gives the wine a level of aromatic nuance and translucence generally not found in the other wines. White flowers, apples, pears and lemon are some of the many notes that take shape in Chardonnay that captures a gorgeous stylistic middle ground in the Kistler range. The 2011 is all about crystalline purity and delineation. At the same time, there is plenty of mid-palate depth and pliancy.”
