When the cognac is distilled and aged, it begins to conjure the soft, luscious aroma of ripe peach. After several years in our French fine-grained oak barrels, the spirit develops nutty notes and ages to it produce a sweet, caramelized flavor resembling that of toasted almonds. The distillaton on the lees is a complex and meticulous process but it gives fruity and musk notes, evoking jasmine aroma.
Aged up to 10 years. We use a blend from the Grande Champagne and Petit Champagne crus for our VSOP, giving it the “Fine Champagne” distinction. The unmistakable finesse of the vanilla, dried fruit and heady summer flower notes builds slowly while aging in French Oak barrels for up to a decade.
